Michael's Fans (5)
Michael's Bio
I'm the stereotypical Boston sports fan. I live and breathe Red Sox baseball, but I'm also a quite passionate fan of the B's, C's, and the Pats. Recently, however, I've begun to associate myself much more with the Black and Gold than the others, since they don't have the bandwagon fans that my other teams have. I own Patriots season tickets. I also follow college sports, with various favorite teams at some sports. I have been known to moonlight as a fan of the New England Revolution, Boston Cannons, and Connecticut Sun. I'm a captain of my high school varsity baseball team. I aspire to someday be a sports journalist.

Michael-- In that case, I'm sorry for jumping to conclusions. This Bruce person has been dogging me for weeks, and accusing me of all sorts of atrocities. Your post just popped up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Bandwagoners make me sick to my stomach for all the obvious reasons. They give us all a bad name. I can see that you are no fair-weather fan, and neither am I. Hell, I used to go to every Patriots home game because they almost never sold out, and going to the game was the only way I could see it. That stadium was a pit, I'll tell you. Just ask your dad.
No harm, no foul.

Michael-- I see that you have taken it upon yourself to become involved in the ongoing dialogue between myself and Bruce, who has, btw, been censored for some of his remarks. Do not for one minute try to put NE sports fans into categories called 'obnoxious' and 'not obnoxious'. Since some are more obnoxious than others, I think we all belong on a continuum of obnoxiousness, as do sports fans everywhere. I've been a NE sports fan since your parents were in grade school. I can stick up for myself, so I really don't need you apologizing for me. I hope you do really well in schhool, and I look forward to reading your column in the Globe someday.

I know that all of Boston fans aren't like that, as most of my friends are. Who would want to be a JETS fan anywasy. Good luck in school.

As you seem to be yourself. Good luck this season.
