Kirby's Bio

I am currently a Sophomore at Georgia Southern University. I am studying Economics with a minor in Sport Management. I am a big fan of Kentucky Wildcats basketball and Georgia Southern football. I am a fan of the revenue producing sports (in America), which means I love football, baseball, and basketball and pretty much nothing else. I am really biased towards SEC football and Southeastern sports in general considering that is where I am from.

The Short List facts and information about Kirby Morris

  1. Just trying to get him more playing time. Get him off the bench and let him be a starter more often. As I have said many times, he is just as good as the alternative so, to me, it makes little sense to have snyder play 4 of ever 5 games. We should be bringing a website up soon.

  2. Robby has been doing pretty well as of late. He was Randy Johnson's starting catcher for his come-back game against SanFran. While the game got a bit out of hand due to some poor defense in the field, Hammock did a good job keeping Johnson (who was clearly wild) under control and keeping the ball in front of him. He went 1-2 with a walk during that game. In 4 games, he has allowed no passed balls, one wild pitch (Johnson), and caught one runner. He's only hitting .250 right now but he's got a .400 OBP. So far, so good with limited time.

Also, we started a Free Robby Campaign here in Phx. Here is the shirt http://www.cafepress.com/cp/customize/product.aspx?clear=true&number=%20254652083

  3. Hammock is starting his first game today for the dbacks, catching Doug Davis. While Davis may suck, Hammock just threw a guy out a third. No hits yet...but none of the Dbacks have any hits today. In any event - 2 games for Snyder - 0 runners caught stealing. 4.0innings for Hammock and 1 runner caught stealing.

Glad to hear you are a Hammock fan. He really has had a string of bad luck in the game but it is nice to see him come back. It is unfortunate that it takes an injury to Montero to get him up, but he is there. I'll try and post more about him as the season goes on.

  4. Hey Kirby,

I just wanted to let you know that Bleacher Report has launched out of beta with an updated look and feel and some great new features. Check out the "Game On" link in the header to find out more.

Next week we'll be launching the site to the world with some public announcements—and it'd be great to get a contribution from you between now and Tuesday to make Bleacher Report's launch a success.

Let me know if you need any help with ideas or have questions. Have a great weekend Kirby!
