About

I HATE F*CKING SLIDESHOWS! Seriously. Don't pretend to be a sportswriter by making me click through a bunch of photos that you found on the internet. Write an actual article or go post your worthless crap somewhere else.

Short List

  • Favorite Athletes

Ozzie Newsome, Kenny Lofton, Austin Carr, Graham Rahal, Robert Kubica, Dick Trickle and Tim Richmond.

  • Favorite Sports Teams

Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers, Lake Erie Monsters, Windsor Spitfires, Sauber F1, Collingwood Magpies.

  • Favorite Coaches

Jerry Glanville, Marty "The Gleam" Schottenheimer, and of course the late, great Wayne Woodrow "Woody" Hayes.

  • All Time Sports Moment

Winning a shifter kart race at Nelson Ledges, September, 2007.

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

Jets-Browns double overtime playoff game January 3, 1987. And of course, The AFC Championship game against Denver ("The Drive") the following week.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

Richard Petty's 27 wins in one season (1967), Arie Luyendyk's 237.498 mph lap at Indy (1996), Bill Elliott's 212.809 mph lap at Talladega (1987)

  • Ruth or Mays?

Ruth. Mays was a natural athelete, while Ruth did it on hot dogs and beer.

  • Unitas or Montana?

    Johnny U

  • Jordan or Russell?

Not old enough to remember Russel but you gotta respect his 11 rings. Jordan fundamentally changed the game - for the worse. Thanks to Jordan the NBA is no longer a team sport. Just five guys trying to outdo each other and "be like Mike."

  • Gretzky or Orr?

Gretzky, but I loved Orr's toothless grin.

  • Pele or Maradona?

Saw Pele play for the NY Cosmos in the '70s - don't know much about the other guy.

  • Federer or Sampras?

    Who?

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

Golf is intolerably boring. I can never get the ball into the clown's mouth. And don't get me started on that damn windmill...

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

Petty - Earnhardt was a schmuck. There's a reason his nickname before his death was "Ironhead" - given to him by the late Tim Richmond who should be on this list.

  • Schumacher or Senna?

Senna if not for Tamburello. Schumacher lost my respect at Jerez in '97.

  • ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 or SEC?

Big 10, Div. III, but Aussie Rules football kicks everyone's ass.
