Harris's Bio

My name is Harris Decker and I am from the suburbs of New York, Westchester Country. I was a Yankees fan (not a die hard one) for the first 12 years of my life. My already limited passion for the Yankees ended after the 2000 season, the beginning of the real money era in Yankees baseball. After this I made the obvious choice, and the one that my family had been wanting, and turned to the Mets. Since that day I have been a committed, passionate Mets fan. I am a Mets season ticket holder and have been to some amazing games at Shea. I now follow both teams in my effort to become more and more familiar with my hobby, baseball cards and memorabilia.

  2. Thats becasue I was away. But your bullpen did just fine didnt they. Wagner looks good. All I'm saying is, your writing your articles like a homer. There is no evidence to back up how you think the Mets can 100% win the East. Their pitching staff is in the same shape as the Phillies and the bullpen is not as good. You can refute that all you want, but look at the numbers.

Even though the Mets won the series it still could have gone either way. And even though they won last night, they should still be worried. When your up 9 runs and you nearly lose, that should be considered a loss. I;m not saying the Phillies are perfect, and if you read the stuff I write youll see that I am hard on them because they are a team with flaws. I dont write how great a team is when theyre not. Thats the difference.

  3. Hey

just writing to tell you that I am no longer writing for Bleacher Report. I have embarked on several new ventures of my own and they are in direct conflict content-wise with BR.

Two of my blogs (mrflushing.com and blognyg.com) have been incorporated into the Yardbarker network and and a third one - ny giant nation - is being run by sportsblognet.com

I also bought into a sports video site that is in its infancy - smackcaster.com - which we are still developing....

  5. Harris, I'm not working in firefox today so here's some editor's feedback.

Great article! I tweaked both your headline and your teaser, corrected some comma errors, and made some stylistic changes. Make sure everything checks out to your liking—keep up the awesome work!
