Hello. I'm a professional freelance writer who writes about MMA and other topics for Bleacher Report and other places.
I'm a bona fide junkie when it comes to the UFC and every other MMA promotion. I also enjoy plenty of other sports and teams, with my beloved Maryland Terps topping the list. I live and work in and around Washington, D.C., and am proud to support the Bullets and Nats. I'm also a recovering 'Skins fan. Keep me in your thoughts...one day I'll be right again. Just sell the team, Dan, and I'll come back. You dirty hamster you.
I've been excited to see my Bleacher Report work featured on CNN.com, CBSSports.com and various MMA sites, as well as the websites of the Los Angeles Times, the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Houston Chronicle, among other newspapers. Content partnerships: they're the wave of the future, baby.
I always enjoy chatting it up with my fellow readers and writers. Trolls will be treated in accordance with the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson: "’Tis of no importance what bats and oxen think.”

Hi Scott, Great article on brain injury today! I left a comment (a challenge if you will...) to interview Christopher Nowinski Author, Head Games: Football's Concussion Crisis, and look a bit further into this issue. Thank you for highlighting an important topic!
Hi Scott, just wanted to let you know I appreciate what you are doing against the ignorant commenters of Bleacher.
Why do you flag me as offensive? Get a life looser
Hey Scott, I enjoy your work. I recently read your top nicknames list and noticed that you didn't know where your #1 pick, "No Face", was from. Check out the movie "Spirited Away" sometime; it's a big deal in Japan. It's actually kind of a cute nickname, but still threatening.
I hope you bet money on the Grant-Maynard fight. I was with a group of about a dozen and we were all screaming when is Gray shooting for the takedown?...it never came and you were the only one to predict it.
props where props are due.
Scott, I wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed your MMA/head injuries article, as it's a specific interest of mine. Very well put together and presented.
Love the humour mate, great articles recently. You're in fine form.
You are a sucker
U did an article about the best KO, SUB and FIGHT of January last month and i'm just a litle curious why u did chose Barboza over Bader for best SUB?
I mean Martins was so beaten up that the REF would most likeky have stopped the fight anyways, and Bader submitted Vladimir in like 50 seconds which also marked the first time in his carer that he was submitted.
And he also set NEW RECORD for FASTEST SUB in UFC LHW DIV. HISTORY.
I dont mean 2 complain, just curious :P
