  1. Good article Tim. It's amazing how having a kid—especially a son—can give you a whole new perspective on things! My guy is about three months old now, and he is changing constantly. Hard to believe that he'll be walking before long, but it's bound to happen.

  2. Tim-
This is ridiculous, rather than post my latest article, I'll just say that I hope you come back and start writing more soon. When you have the time, catch up as you deem necessary. Thanks

  3. Thanks for the pick, Tim...and the kind words. I hope all is well on your end.

    — Ryan

  4. Yo Tim, You earned it my man. No thanks necessary. I am sorry, I am not familiar with that movie :) If you get a chance, check out the last comment I made on my article. It turns out people are not that big a fan of me and I just had to set the record straight. Check it out if you get a chance. Love your stuff.

    Keep it flowin'

    Sweet Mo

  5. Hey Tim, thanks for the congrats! Our little dude was born March 21 (just turned one month yesterday!), and he's doing great. How old is your kid now?

  6. It's basically all speculation. I know that conference (that features NJIT) becomes eligible to get an automatic bid in 2020. I read somewhere about the by-laws of the NCAA and then just speculated what would be a possibility on how to change the tournament so that it is fresh.

  7. Anytime. I really appreciate the quality and tone of your writing. It makes for a good read and I'm always able to read all the way through your submissions, which is more than I can say for about 97% of the other writers on here.

  8. Tim, no need to apologize; I've done that before lots of times, not meaning to. I wonder if sometimes I click something by accident that "de-fans" me, 'cause I'm pretty sure you were a fan at some point.

I've been a fan of yours since you're response to my ill-advised "Unconventional Wisdom: Why South Carolina will beat Florida" football article ... haha. =)

  9. I moved the bracket contest to Yahoo! because of the whole email out invitations thing was impractical...

  10. Well, no walk-ons ... guess he wanted to keep the blowout ensured. =)

    Awesome, awesome game.

  11. And they're not exactly known as shot-blocking dynamos ... did Thabeet suit up for them or something?

Holmes fouled out -- and that was probably not even a bad thing, the offensive night he was having.

I think they're geting ready to bring the walk-ons in ... unreal. did you ever think you'd see SC bring in walk-ons in a game with UK this decade?

  12. Holy crap -- they are NOT letting up. Up by 26?! This has got to be as embarrassing as it gets for UK, especially with their tournament lives on the line.

A blowout like that might be enough to start getting them serious NIT consideration again. Wow.

  13. USC by 18 at the half -- woo-hoo!!! Punch their ticket baby! =)

  14. Wow, I can't believe how reamed I'm getting on that Calhoun article ... I really thought it was kind of a no-brainer. I mean the guys' own peers thought he was a moron for asking that, as have every analyst I've seen talk about it.

I think it's just kind of chic (I don't mean Jonathan -- I like his writing a lot; just disagree with him here) to attack anyone who has money during the recession. How many people are going to go to their own CEOs and ask if they'll take a pay cut? THAT would take guts. =)

And what ever happened to the free market anyway?
