Tim's Bio

Greetings, fellow droogs.

Aside from college sports, I am a fan of the following: reading and writing, avoiding the
Twitter phenomenon, drinking coffee, hanging with the wife and kid, quoting the movie
“Man on Fire,” playing pick-up hoops, and worrying about my dissertation.

I’m also well-known in at least a dozen households for my wildly popular weblog titled
“Pedagogical Musings of a Lowly English Teacher.”

Holler.

  1. Am I just venting? Or do I have a valid point? What do you think?

  2. What's up Tim.
Wrote another article about the Gamecocks if you're interested to follow up on my preview of the Bama game.
"South Carolina : The State of the Defense Heading Into Tuscaloosa"
Give it a look and let me know what ya think if ya get the chance.
Take it easy man, oh, and don't let those Pac-10 clowns get to you.

  3. Wow, what a game, right? Great offensive battle—who would have thought? Garcia played his butt off and, if not for a bad EP by Lanning, this game could have easily gone the Gamecock way. Columbia should be very interesting next year.

  4. Good article Tim. It's amazing how having a kid—especially a son—can give you a whole new perspective on things! My guy is about three months old now, and he is changing constantly. Hard to believe that he'll be walking before long, but it's bound to happen.

  5. Tim-
This is ridiculous, rather than post my latest article, I'll just say that I hope you come back and start writing more soon. When you have the time, catch up as you deem necessary. Thanks

  6. Thanks for the pick, Tim...and the kind words. I hope all is well on your end.

  7. Yo Tim, You earned it my man. No thanks necessary. I am sorry, I am not familiar with that movie :) If you get a chance, check out the last comment I made on my article. It turns out people are not that big a fan of me and I just had to set the record straight. Check it out if you get a chance. Love your stuff.

    Keep it flowin'

    Sweet Mo

  8. Hey Tim, thanks for the congrats! Our little dude was born March 21 (just turned one month yesterday!), and he's doing great. How old is your kid now?

  9. It's basically all speculation. I know that conference (that features NJIT) becomes eligible to get an automatic bid in 2020. I read somewhere about the by-laws of the NCAA and then just speculated what would be a possibility on how to change the tournament so that it is fresh.

  10. Anytime. I really appreciate the quality and tone of your writing. It makes for a good read and I'm always able to read all the way through your submissions, which is more than I can say for about 97% of the other writers on here.

  11. Tim, no need to apologize; I've done that before lots of times, not meaning to. I wonder if sometimes I click something by accident that "de-fans" me, 'cause I'm pretty sure you were a fan at some point.

I've been a fan of yours since you're response to my ill-advised "Unconventional Wisdom: Why South Carolina will beat Florida" football article ... haha. =)

  12. I moved the bracket contest to Yahoo! because of the whole email out invitations thing was impractical...

  13. Well, no walk-ons ... guess he wanted to keep the blowout ensured. =)

    Awesome, awesome game.
