Chris's Bio
*After a lengthy hiatus Chris Bouthillier is back writing for BR*
Looking into taking journalism very soon. Writing and talking about hockey is something I feel I can do any time of the day and have a blast doing it. I am very opinionated but can respect a polar opinion if the writer can logistically put it forward without making it a personal attack.
I've grown up playing hockey since I was 3. And now at the age of 18 the game still means as much to me as it did back then (maybe even more so because I know players' names haha). My family is influenced by hockey of every era, and I myself am glad to say that I've had a strong supporting cast as I have played hockey from houseleague to AA to playing for my highschool team.
My grandfather is probably the biggest reason I look at hockey the way I do. People see it as a game, where he sees it as an art. I've picked up on that over the last several years and am proud to say that I am one of the only people I know who follow the game with great passion (other than you guys here at BR).
Anybody who reads or comments my articles on BR are more than welcome to voice their thoughts on the piece. If it wasn't for the people on here I would still have a one-dimension opinions on many things. Hope to write things that interest you guys as you do for me.

It's a little late but I thought I'd add my two cents regarding Joe Sakic's retirement. Please feel free to take a gander when you get a spare moment. Thanks.

Hey Chris,

I am surprised by the number of people who actually want to reserve the right to bad-mouth their teams! I offer constructive criticism, of course, but one in particular wants to be able to say, "they suck," if they do.
I don't get it. Will YOU take the pledge?
