A.J. Writes About

The Short List What A.J. thinks about sport's most pressing questions

  • Favorite Athletes

Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, Eli Manning, Amani Toomer (I met him and he was very nice to me), Chris Drury, David Wright (he's a rival (a Met) but he's also a great player and a great athlete), LeBron James

  • Favorite Sports Teams

The New York Yankees, The New York Giants, The New York Rangers, Brooklyn/LA Dodgers (gotta respect Jackie, Campanella, Joe Torre and co.), not much for basketball, but the Cleveland Cavaliers are OK.

  • Favorite Coaches

Joe Torre, Tom Coughlin, Pat Summit

  • All Time Sports Moment

Aaron Boone's walk-off HR to beat the BoSox, 2003 ALCS; The DYNASTY: 4 World Championships in 5 years for the Yankees: 1996, 1998, 1999, and 2000, Super Bowl XLII: 18-1. Thats all I have to say.

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

May 24, 2001: Pedro vs. Mussina @ Yankee Stadium. Moose and Pedro each struck out 12 batters, and the Yankees won by a score of 2-1. Great pitcher's duel. Great game.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

Joe DiMaggio's 56 game hit streak; Ted Williams batting .400; 4 Touchdowns in one game: Al Bundy (JUST KIDDING!)
