James's Bio

I"m a 22-year old graduate of LSU who is interested in little outside the world of sports. Growing up in the New Orleans metro area, I've dealt with the unfortunate burden of being a Saints fan since the days of the Dome Patrol in the early 90's. But life has been good as an LSU fan with the Tigers winning two national championships in five years, so I won't complain too loudly. I love watching, writing about and reading about sports, and would love as much feedback and opinions as possible.

  1. I lived on the Northshore, too -Slidell. I went to Jesuit, though.

  2. Can you give me your take on the Saints secondary, I want to compile yours and some of the others that write heavy on the Saints and do an article right before the 1st game. Thanks

  3. By the way, since you are only a couple of years younger than me and are also from the NOLA area, where did you go to HS?

  4. Hey James, since you (probably) accidentally published your last article twice(College Football: Top Six Story lines heading into 2008), you may want to delete one of them so that all of your reads and comments are all on the same link. Just a suggestion. Good article by the way.

  5. i tried to edit your article but you were editing at the time and you just did what i was going to do which was bold your bullet points.

as football season gets closer i look fwd to reading your outlook on the saints. and of course would love any content you'd want to contribute to the LSU Football section.

i'm ten years older than you so i remember the dome patrol and that's when i became a fan really (sorta).

i'm way more into LSU and college football now but i'm still a die hard saints fan.

i would love to see the defense improve with the off season acquisitons especially vilma. even with new corners, i still think we'll be suspect at that position but at least maybe we can stop the run and get a little more pressure on the QB this year.

  6. James,

Seems I opened up a can of worms with a couple of Ohio State homers on your "SEC National Champs" thread. Don't know where these guys came from (most OSU fans know my stance on the Buckeyes) and I know most SEC fans are probably tired of anything Ohio State-related (or maybe not considering the last two National Championship games) but sorry if that thread got a little out of hand. Otherwise, I enjoyed the read and seeing what others think the SEC will do this year. Even though I'm a Big Ten fan by proxy, you guys still have the best conference by far.

  7. Hey James -- I'm a big fan of your Saints blog, so it's great to see you contributing here on BR now as well. Look forward to seeing more of your writing (about the Saints or otherwise) around these parts.

    WHO DAT!

    -Mike
