About

I am a sports fanatic. Growing up in Ireland, my sporting foundation was based upon a love for soccer. Although I have retained that love, I have since broadened my interests.

I now follow a variety of sports, with my favourites being tennis, golf, boxing and rugby union. However I will watch just about anything that is on TV, from darts to cricket. Come Olympics time I will become an expert on most disciplines, even though I can't fully relate to the finer points of gymnastics. And here's me looking forward to the forthcoming Winter Olympics; the curling competition promises to be unmissable.

I think this is a fantastic era for sport in general, with some phenomenal athletes: Woods, Pacquiao, Federer, and Bolt, to name but a few.

My love for sport can only be matched by my love for music.

And Guinness. Obviously.

Shameless self-promotion, I know, but I would love to know what you think about Civil Liability in Professional Football.

    Hey Donal,

The John Terry allegations have been well documented now, and in the latest Great Debate article I ask a lot of questions surrounding it, mainly "has it damaged England's World Cup hopes?" I think it has, but not for the reasons you might expect...

Also, Was Capello right to strip Terry of the captaincy? Is Ferdinand the right man to replace him? and what are your overriding thoughts on the whole farce?

    Let your opinion be known!

    Hey,

It's a tiny bit late as it took longer than expected to write it, but my review of 2009 is finally here! Last year's one won the AOTD award and hopefully I've done enough on this one to equal that feat, but I'll leave you to be the judge of that!

With 25 great moments from 12 different sports, and with everyone from Barcelona to France, the Yankees to the Lakers, and Usain Bolt to Tiger Woods there is something for everyone in this slideshow, plus a ranked top ten as the final slide!

If you get a chance would you mind checking it out? Cheers!
