KP Wee is a baseball and hockey fan who enjoys watching and discussing sports memories and issues with everyone willing to listen. Wee's long-term goal is to publish a book or two in the next couple of years, which has already been accomplished in 2007 (see below for comments).

Also: SHORT STORY SET TO BE PUBLISHED JUNE 2008; CONTRACT ALREADY SIGNED WITH BOOK PUBLISHER JANUARY '08. I don't usually brag about myself as writing is really just a matter of self-fulfillment/personal satisfaction, but since a lot of anonymous people wonder.... well, there's your answer. And no, I don't care one bit if any naysayers read it or what they have to say.

In late February 2008, I came under heavy fire from Vancouver fans because they didn't like my comments about the Canucks. Some trashed me for my personal writing goals. Well, I would now like to announce that BACK in 2007, I had already self-published three books and they were not epic failures. My three books were dedicated for my friends, amongst them Rick, Cliff, Ian, and Candace, and they all were touched and are appreciative of my "gifts." So, no, those books were not failures but they actually accomplished their original goals. I personally do not care if I sell X number of books as a true writer writes and dedicates the works to those that truly matter, his/her friends and associates.

I am not ashamed of who I am and don't need to prove anything to anyone out there. I am a people-person and I appreciate my friends, and folks who know me can attest to that. For those I have left out earlier, namely John House, Trout, and others, I still appreciate your readership and the fun times with our sports debates too. I, however, have no time for racists such as Andrew Claxton and his cohorts and anyone that sees the need to personally attack me. So those of you like that, don't matter to me.

Finally, I do want to thank the creators/founders of Bleacher Report--Dave Finocchio, Bryan Goldberg, Zander Freund, and Dave Nemetz, four friends in Silicon Valley who had their own dream and chased it.

Thank you for creating this online community where the true fans can come out and write and comment on what they enjoy.

As for my 2007 books, they have been listed just to prove that I've accomplished it--and once again, I don't need anyone's approval.

All Time Sports Moment

1992 Adams Division Finals - Andy Moog shut out Patrick Roy's Montreal Canadiens, and the Bruins added an empty-netter in the final minute as Boston won 2-0 to sweep the Canadiens out of the playoffs. 1991 Adams Division Finals - Cam Neely's long shot eluded Roy in the third period and Moog was sensational as the Bruins finally eliminated the Canadiens in Game Seven.

    The Sox are a better team than the Yanks and Rays. If they lose, it'll be because of injury or under performance. I'll be worried if they're two games out in late September...

    Romance novel's, eh? I'm impressed, actually. I can barely put together a ten paragraph sports article these days. The fact that you wrote three full-length books, and got them published, is extremely impressive.

    Someday.....someday I will have my own Wikipedia entry.

    I'm really not interested in choosing a team just because I think it can win. I think Chicago's a decent choice...some nice, young talent. They aren't nearly good enough for me to be called a bandwagon jumper. Plus, they have history and play in a real hockey town.

    There really was no good choice....the only good choice was to force Jacobs to sell...but none of the Bruins fans will get on board with my "boycott the team until he sells" thing.

    I've decided on the Blackhawks, which is actually the team I was leaning towards before I wrote the article. I like the idea of Tampa, but I hate the idea of hockey in Florida....

    Plus, I think the Blackhawks are going to play at Wrigley this year.... so I'm assured of at least one game on TV!

    I'm too busy hating on the Bruins to write a book. Check out the column I just posted.

    Forget a TV show, what I need is for one of you talented Bleacher Reporters to get your own radio gig and bring me on as your overpaid, sometimes funny sidekick. I think I'd thrive in the "you either love him or completely hate him and wish him dead" sidekick role.

    Plus, I'm not made for TV...I have a face that's perfect for radio. :)

    People love Favre because he's rugged, stars in jeans commercials, is personable with the media, and plays like he loves the game. It has very little to do with performance, except that they'll overlook poor performance because he plays with a smile on his face.

    I've been questioning Favre for YEARS. He's been overrated since 1998.

    If they let him come back, and let him start, it will set that franchise back...even if they have a slightly better 2008 than they would have without him. I can't imagine they'll let him come back and backup Rodgers...that's a recipe for disaster.

    I'm a fan to an extent—my dad is a cheesehead, I like Favre, but I'm also a Pats and Vikes fan, so I took in "Brett Mania" mainly because he was popular around the time I started following the NFL, and the coincidences he ran into (that huge game against Oakland following his fathers' death?).

    What he's doing now though is stupid—if he wasn't sure what was going to happen, pull a Mats Sundin and wait until you're sure and make a final decision. Whether intentional or not, he's coming off as a guy who craves the limelight more than the grid-iron, and should be starring in his own made-for-tv movie.

    The Packers are right not to release him—he's embarassed the organization by having a soap opera moment for the past five years, so if they decide to relegate him to backup status if he comes back, that's their call. No one said a backup Quarterback had to like their role after all.

    To be honest, Brett's deserved to not get his own way for a while now—good on the Green and Gold.

    Besides, what's the difference between a retired player or a holdout over a release during training camp? Nothing, Favre still wouldn't be there.

    And the idea that Green Bay is "forcing his hand on this decision on whether to stay retired or not by saying they'll bench him" is lunacy—they've dealt with him for years and no one made him hold that press conference to say he "can't do it mentally anymore".

    This is a man who can't let go.

    No worries man, I agree with the sentiment of the article, but again I'm not too sure if it's flat-out selfisness or not. Either way, nice work.

    Ps. I dunno how you keep a cool head writing for MVN—I honestly am astounded at how much more the Bleacher Creature Readers seem to know or at least comprehend. I got ripped on a Brian Burke article about not doing "homework" when I can use websites to back up my stuff, and then on the Love Guru article, some guy had the gall to tell me "Wow, you report on stuff like this the night before free agency? Why don't you do some real work."—The article was posted on the 27th...he decided to READ it on the 30th, and apparently dude can't take a joke.

    To be completely honest, I try not to rip on people who read and comment because here on B.R. I've found (I know that some of your earlier experiences are different here) that they can at least back up some of their arguments. The guys on MVN just seem to be out there for the kill, and I can't respond to their comments directly or even go straight to their profile.

    I don't know, possibly I'm just frustrated. Either way, it's a very 'love/hate' kind of thing.

    Hey

    just writing to tell you that I am no longer writing for Bleacher Report. I have embarked on several new ventures of my own and they are in direct conflict content-wise with BR.

    Two of my blogs (mrflushing.com and blognyg.com) have been incorporated into the Yardbarker network and and a third one - ny giant nation - is being run by sportsblognet.com

    I also bought into a sports video site that is in its infancy - smackcaster.com - which we are still developing....

    Dude, I was there—gave him a standing ovation every time he came to the plate. I even tried to get autographs with my 2002 Johnson jersey, but he bailed to the dugout after doing his radio interview. Can't say I blame him though, he was probably bombarded like mad over the weekend here in the city.

    Also, I hate how commercialized the team has become...it's a joke.
