Sam's Bio

I'm a sophomore journalism major at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst with a focus on sports journalism. I've only been doing this sports writing thing for two years now, but I love doing it, so I'll keep doing it! Besides, I've loved the art of sportswriting since becoming enamored with the words of David Halberstam, Peter Gammons, and Roger Kahn, so I have plenty to learn from.

My current gigs are as a swimming and diving beat writer for the Massachusetts Daily Collegian. I hope to someday cover a major league baseball team for a big-time paper, and, eventually, become a baseball columnist.

    Hey Sam,

    I just wanted to let you know that Bleacher Report has launched out of beta with an updated look and feel and some great new features. Check out the "Game On" link in the header to find out more.

    Next week we'll be launching the site to the world with some public announcements—and it'd be great to get a contribution from you between now and Tuesday to make Bleacher Report's launch a success.
