Sam 's Bio

Born in 1983 in the suburbs of chicago. I have been raised on the real Chicago Sports teams. That means I carry the White Sox, Bears, Bulls, and Hawks in my gut and I despise and take great joy in the follies of America's most pathetic sports franchise, the Chicago flubs. I went to UCLA and am a season ticket holder for basketball and football.

  3. As as Sox writer, I'd love for you to read this. It's a rare olive branch from a Cubs fan.

  4. Hey Sam,

I wrote a piece in May highlighting the position players that I thought should make the all star team. I started a 2-part follow up piece today focusing on starting pitchers. I started with AL. If you get the chance, I'd appreciate it if you took a look at it. Thanks

  6. Hi Sam, how are you?

I wrote a very personal, hopefully heart warming account of my coming to grips with my team’s loss in the NCAA round of Sweet 16.

Check it out and let me know what you think! Thanks.

  7. Sam,

Please read my day as a Yankee courtesy of Bleacher Report article. I've been working on this one in my head for some time, finally took the time to draft it out and hopefully entertain people.

Not sure if you'd heard, but Johnny Red Kerr passed away this evening, on the same day as Norm Van Lier. Sad day.

  10. Hey Sam,

Okay, so you are definitely welcome to promote any other site you'd like to direct people to by including links at the bottom of your article.

To add a hyperlink, highlight the text you want to link and click the paperclip looking icon from the text editor (fourth button over from the right I believe). Then enter the url.

Give me a whirl and let me know if that works. You can't currently hyperlink in profiles unfortunately.

    Keep up the great work!

  11. i know I just saw that he said that i have a bad article that is the bashing part. I do back up my articles with information though

  12. http://www.kronkgym.com/ESNEWS.html Manny Steward of the kronk gym is the worlds best...other top trainers are Lou Duva.... James buddy McGurt...Freddie roach...there are lots of others but those names are the big ones..

  13. No chance it happens. Why would any team trade value for Dye, who's owed $11.5 million in 2009, when they could just sign Abreu (or Adam Dunn) for a similar or lower price and not have to give up anything in the way of compensation? There's simply no market for Dye (or Thome or Konerko, for that matter). The only way Dye is traded before his contract runs out is if the Sox fall out of the running in June or July. That's when his trade value will be maximized.

I like Abreu more than Dye, though. They're both not great defensively, but the White Sox could use a guy like Abreu more than Dye to give a bit more balance to the lineup.

That being said, I would be absolutely shocked if Abreu ends up in a Sox uniform for the simple reason that it would mean the Sox would have to deal away one of Dye, Thome, or Konerko.
