Chris's Bio

I'm Chris, co-owner of TheScoreBoards Sports Forums, and a Patriots Community Leader here at Bleacher Report. I live near Albany, NY... which is where I grew up. I've also lived in California, and spent time in various other parts of the country.

I'm a huge Patriots fan, and I have been since 1992. I was 11 years old at the time, and had just gained interest in football. When selecting a team, I wanted to pick an underdog, so I picked the worst team that was geographically somewhat close to me.

I guess that decision worked to my advantage, since I've had the luxury of watching one of the greatest dynasties of all time work their magic for the last decade.

In basketball, I'm a Bulls fan, and have been since the Michael Jordan era. I loved watching him and the rest of the Bulls play. After Jordan retired though (the first time), I kinda lost interest.

When I lived in California, I started to enjoy watching the Warriors... but when I went to Oracle Arena to watch them play the Bulls, I realized that I was still a Bulls fan... and they kinda sucked. Damn it.

Also while living in CA... I became an A's fan. I grew up as a fan of the White Sox, but it turns out I must have been an A's fan all along. It was very easy for me to fall in love with A's baseball since I lived so close. I tried to become a Yankees fan now that I'm living in New York again... but no. I'm an A's fan.

The Short List What Chris thinks about sport's most pressing questions

  • Favorite Athletes

Michael Jordan, Nick Swisher, Tedy Bruschi, Mike Vrabel, Frank Thomas

  • Favorite Sports Teams

Chicago Bulls, New England Patriots, and Oakland Athletics

  • All Time Sports Moment

Probably the one inning that I pitched when I played little league. It was my first (and last) season, and since I hadn't played before, they put me in a league of younger kids. That meant I wasn't allowed to pitch. Well, there was one game where every kid on the team had pitched, and we couldn't finish the dang game off ... so they called me in and I struck out all three batters. I know, it's lame ... but it was a great feeling when it happened... so bite me.

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

I guess I'll have to go with the game that Barry Bonds tied Babe Ruth's HR mark. I don't really like Barry, but it was impressive nonetheless, and the entire stadium let him know how impressive it was... even with being in Oakland.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

C'mon ... easy .... 72 wins by the Chicago Bulls.

  • Ruth or Mays?

    Ruth... just because.

  • Unitas or Montana?

Montana ... the guy was just way too calm in the pocket.

  • Pele or Maradona?

I feel rather indifferent on this one.

  • Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?

    Pac 10
