Ron's Bio

Ron 'The Yacman' Yacovetti is a long time veteran of Stand-Up Comedy, starting out of NYC and touring all over. His endeavors also included writing and producing for boxing in both TV and written journalism. He has trained in various fighting styles over the years, which prepared him for his current career success as a Correspondent in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). Ron has also done MMA Fight Commentary for Korean MMA Promotion Spirit MC.

    Hey, not a problem, Ron. It was an interesting piece.

    Through our research we've found a certain formula for headlines that maximizes the articles placement within a search engine. Small things like the subject's first name being near the beginning of the article. So that's where the headline change came from. But it's your piece, you have the final say over everything, so if you decide that it just doesn't work for you then please don't hesitate to change it back.

    No problem Ron, As far as MMA writing goes I just do this for fun because I love MMA more than just about everyone I know, and when I come here there are people that share that same love,respect, and knowledge of the sport as I do. I would love to interview or at least meet some of the great fighters that you have but I know it takes a lot of work to get to that spot. But for now I enjoy training in MMA and just being a big fan.

    Ok - I'm cool with that. The comments came across with an implied slight towards the writer not so much the fighter being covered.

    I wasn't really trying to make it a personal thing, I just honestly didn't see why anyone, especially a "real" journalist would waste their time writing about Baroni. I just thought he sucks and was stating my opinion. I've gone on similar rants towards guys about Kimbo Slice as well.

    Its all a part of journalism isn't it? you write an article, then we get to respond. If I write about tito someone is gonna say he sucks, big deal. Doesn't mean I suck as a writer, just means they don't like tito.
