I was born a Tiger Fan, listened to my first LSU games via radio when John Fergeson called the play by play. Nelson Stokely was the QB and Charlie Mac was the coach. I grew up in Belle Chasse, Louisiana, my older brother went to and graduated from LSU in 1970, I went to LSU, was in the LSU Tiger Marching Band, graduated in 1982, got a Masters in 1996, and my PhD in 2003. I have been with LSU football from the Mac years to the Miles years including the dark years of Archer, Hallman, and DiNardo. I appreciate where we have been, and I love where we are at now. Like everyone that loves College FB, I want to see a playoff to avoid poll bias. I envision an 8 team playoff series every year between the six conferences champs plus the two highest ranked non BCS teams. These would include the SEC, Pac 10, Big 12, ACC, Big East, Big 10. Each conference would be required to play a conference championship game the first weekend of December followed by a 4 game preliminary, a 2 game semi-final, and then the National championship, decided the 4th weekend in December. And, as for the bowl games of old, they have the option of participating to host the one of the seven playofff games or not. Its up to them.
Keep writing Robert, good to have you on board!
