Michael's Bio
I am a lifelong Oregon Duck fan. I was born in Eugene, Oregon on April 30th, 1963 to two Oregon graduates in the Fine Arts program at the University of Oregon. My parents have enjoyed a rewarding life as artists in the Eugene area. I attended private high school at Marist in Eugene where our basketball team won the state championship two of my four years attending the school. Where was I? Playing trumpet in the pep band and our jazz band took second in the state my sophomore year.
Art would subsequently not be my calling as I graduated from college later in my career from the University of California at Davis (where Mike Belloti once coached) with a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology and a minor in Spanish.
I enjoy college athletics and particularly Oregon sports. College sports embody competition on a genuine level. These student athletes experience the camraderie and enjoyment of participating in a team environment while opening their minds in the curricular environment. My alma mater, UCDavis, has won numerous awards for scholastic athleticism and I hope they continue that track record with their emergence into Division 1-A sports.
In the meantime, I will continue to post stories here about my devotion to the Oregon program which has made leaps and bounds in all facets of athletics and scholastics.
In my free time I devote myself to the Bluegrass banjo and I sing in a local barbershop chorus in Sacramento. My love for music won out, but my love for the Ducks will always be at the forefront of my life.
