KERS: Novelty Or Competition Booster?
September 18, 2008
Hi all. I'm a 24-year-old university grad (majored in English) from sunny California. I love cars. I love racing. REAL racing, the kind where skill, not sponsorship, matters most. I was very much into WRC (when they showed it here in America, which they don't now, why they stopped I'll never know) and have been following Formula 1 since 2004, though I've watched it now and then before really getting into it. I also try to follow other racing disciplines, such as the American Le Mans Series, the occasional NASCAR race, IRL, Super GT (formerly the JGTC), BTCC, DTM, and GP2. However, I see Formula 1 as the pinnacle of motorsport. The seamless integration of man and machine and the skill and technical wizardry that go into building and racing cars has always been a joy of mine. I feel that racing is a pure form of expression; driving has always been my passion.
