About

Hello, my name is Daniel Severo Corpuz. I was born in Santa Barbara, California, but I grew up in San Luis Obispo, a considerably smaller community an hour and a half north.

I grew to love the game of basketball because of my Uncle Robert, who spun the ball on his finger and did all sorts of tricks that simply amazed me, as well as being just a great teacher of life. My Uncle, coupled with the hoopla surrounding Michael Jordan's first retirement, lit a fire in me to play ball and to write about it when I was just 11 years old.

I have a healthy respect for baseball, from collecting cards as a kid, football and ice hockey, but my first and only true love is basketball.

Also, I write for my mother (pictured above), Elaine Corpuz, who passed away nearly 7 years ago. No words can capture how much I miss and love her.

Thank you for any time you spend reading one of my articles.

Hey Daniel—Max Tcheyan here, a Bleacher Report Community Coordinator.

I've been spending time on our NBA page and read a couple of your old articles. Really on-point analysis...you do good work.

Given that you haven't written in a while, I thought I'd check in and see if you're interested in picking up your coverage again. What do you say?

If not, it would be great if you could give me some feedback on why you decided to stop writing and what we could have done to better serve you. If you wouldn't mind, please shoot me a line at mtcheyan@bleacherreport.com with any thoughts.

    Thanks so much,
    Max

    Hey Daniel Severo,

I just wanted to let you know that Bleacher Report has launched out of beta with an updated look and feel and some great new features. Check out the "Game On" link in the header to find out more.

Next week we'll be launching the site to the world with some public announcements—and it'd be great to get a contribution from you between now and Tuesday to make Bleacher Report's launch a success.

Let me know if you need any help with ideas or have questions. Have a great weekend Daniel Severo!
