I have been a huge sports fan all my life. It started with the Vikings and Twins and later anything with the University of Minnesota.
Over the past five or six years I have become a big NASCAR fan, after joining a fantasy league.
I have an engineering degree and by nature I'm a stats geek. Data and statistics are everywhere in sports and thus a perfect match. Add the human element and you have chaos.
The great thing about sports is that everyone can have a different opinion. If we all think the same way then there wouldn't be anything to write about, or anything to read.
Trying to become a featured for Vikings. On the trial basis right now, love your work. Keep it up!
Let's go Vikings.
Tim - thanks for your continued support - I'm honored that you chose my Top 25 Vikings piece as a favorite.
Tim, thanks so much for the fan add. It's quite an honor for a newbie to the team to receive support from someone of your standing. I appreciate your consideration.
Haha, thanks Tim! I guess I'm the Tuesday/Thursday guy from now on.
Thanks for the note Tim, much appreciated!
Hi Tim
I am a baseball blogger and am looking to start a brand new site with a large group of writers. We have a few great writers already on board and we are looking for more to join in. I like your stats-based analysis and I believe it would be perfect for the atmospher will will try to create at our blog. Please let me know if you're interested, even if you are only able to write an article per week.
Please contact me if you're interested UpAlongFirst@Gmail.com
Thanks!
Tim, thanks for liking my article. In a sense we are brothers in journalism hoping for the same thing, success for the Vikings. I always enjoy reading your work because it shows passion and thought. I get so tired of reading drivel that people put out because they want 10,000 reads. It is about the quality of the article that matters most; does it advance the conversation, or does it put an emphasis/closure on something? That is what I am trying to do. Again, keep puttin it out there brother.
Thanks for liking my article, Tim!!! I appreciate it.
Thanks for the heads up on that 1982 tidbit relative to the Twins. I completely missed it....
