First and foremost: I like cars. I like racing them, I like watching them race and I like the intricacies of them. Ever since I was a child, I loved watching cars race regardless of what series they were. In the end though, Formula 1 became my forte! When it comes to this series, I don't have any favourite team in particular. My favourite driver, on the other hand, is Kimi Raikkonen and I was really glad to see him take the WDC for 2007.

As well, I follow the Le Mans and the American Le Mans Series. It's very different from Formula One in that you have to think more towards the future rather than the present in order to win a race. At least that's how I see it.

Overall, when it comes to motorsport, I turn on my inner child and go nuts!

I also follow the Red Bull Air Race, a new type of sport that I like to call an "aerosport." I've been following it for the last two or so years and was given a great opportunity by Bleacher Report to go to the race in Detroit and cover it for them. The fellow in the picture with me is Alejandro Maclean, who like the other pilots of the air race are just cool guys. When asked about being a correspondent I had to think about it, but only for a microsecond!

Furthermore, I am the Formula 1 Community Leader. Don't worry, I don't bite! I'm a laid back type of guy, so if you want to chat or something, leave a note and I'll be sure to return the favour!

I also follow NHL hockey, NBA basketball, MLB Baseball, various football (soccer) leagues around the world and I just enjoy sports in whatever it may be. I think it's great, it improves your body and mind if you participate and makes for a great release mechanism if you're a spectator.

Saw an amazing video of "Helicopter" doing some jinks and twirls and thrills in the Red Bull Air Race videos on YouTube.

Next time you do an article and as and when you do an article, could you please consider doing one on Rotary Wings Vs. Fixed Wings and get the pilot's opinions as to what they like about each, what do they prefer.

Sheb, changed the pic on your Santa piece - the Kimi face did not come out all that well as I don't have photoshop installed on my system to do a superimposition, so I did it in MS Paint and as you are aware, MS Paint is so ancient.

since I do have a huge problem with the way the RT was handled (mine was excluded) ... I wanted to complain to you - because you and Ben are the comm leaders, so this is your responsibility

and

this isnt me looking for publicity, I was told by the concerned party that my entry was excluded because it did not select a circuit

I believe I did choose one - and even if it came across like I did not, all they could have done is to just not include me in the vote count, but still include me in the RT article

I am being fair I think

I would like for you and Ben to give me a response

this was my submission to the RT - which track is the best, just go through my response

This is what I sent mate - the RT did not mention that a vote count was to be taken, so I thought I'll be creative, I did eventually choose one .... so you let me know if I have a case in being excluded mate

I like parts of circuits more than entire circuits ...

Eau Rouge - for the down and up slope;

130 arc Suzuka - for the way it snakes through;

Istanbul Park for its turn eight;

Monza for parabolica;

Monaco for Saint Devote;

Silverstone for ever so beautiful Becketts;

San Marino for Variente Alta;

Magny Cours for Estoril;

Senna S - for the down slope anticlockwise;

I have actually driven (yes F1-2004) in each of the circuits am selecting,

As someone who loves science, I love the technical challenges that anti-clockwise circuits present to designers and engineers - between Interlagos and Istanbul Park, am gonna go with Istanbul Park (Turn 8)

Other than that, I respect traditions very much, but am also open to novel ventures. I strongly believing in balancing both the objectives, and in the increased deployment of F-1 to a larger fraction of global audience.

So - my MOST FAVORITE circuit is the next new one to which we branch out !

Hi,

Sorry for the delayed reply.

I was sort of out of commission for the past few days as my mother had a massive heart attack and I was close to losing her. Yet to be out of the shock of it.

Just today my mom had a stent implanted in her right artery through angio plast.

I am typing this from the hospital as I await for her to be discharged in another 2 days. She is right now in the post cath lab and I am not allowed in there so I taking the time out to type out this email.

Step one: start writing Air Race articles regularly.
Step two: find other writers to join you and get the conversation started.

I have no idea how to go about step two as until a few days ago I didn't even realize what the Air Race really was...maybe cruise around google for some fansites?

If you can locate the fansites, I have some documents that will walk you through best recruiting practices. Just let me know.

Thanks for comment, i understand you very well. I know how studing can be hard (i studeied at three colleges). I have been at border with North Korea and i didn't feel that safe. I asked you about negative g-force cause i was trying to compare that and the feeling in the car when i push it to the limit.
Well you know, about Finland, i'm 250 km northern of Helsinki, this place is call Jyväskylä, and it's nice place to live. I was born here, but when i turn 18 i gone to Sweden to study, get married with one gorgeous half Finnish-half Norwegian girl. (les marriedges are legal here, but i'm bi). But i don't spend that much time here, my famous parents living near by, their famous racing academy is also here in this area, so since i travel a lot, this looks like holiday when i come here. So, this is my holiday.Tomorrow i'm off to Hungarian GP.
And no, i'm not intrested in facebook on any language.

Greetings to Ontario from central (and cold) Finland.
Sheiby, i wanted to ask you have you ever had a chance to be a pilot, even in smaller planes. I've done that but i had extremly huge troubles with negative G-force. Some pilots explained to me smth about that, but i couldn't get used on that since it's totaly opposite feeling than driving a race car.

Oh yeah, don't go to Korea, plz, i think i didn't found anything intresting there.

Good to see you fighting for the Red Bull Air Race to get it up on here , i Like the Series , But sometimes its on at 4 in the morning here so i cant watch it unless its a sleepless night .

Mike Mangold and Paul Bonhomme are my favourite two .

The planes are awesome machines and how close to the water do they need to put their wings ha ha

East Asia? Well it's nice. But where? What country? I can only say that is bloody humid there and rain is falling all the time (if you think about Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, i always burned on sun when i go there and then it comes the rain), but also on the other side in that are you can see lovely, gorgeous Scandinavian girls who came to live there to run away from this cold climate.

so far it's not been canceled but the weather-prediction isn't great. Sadly we can't go there as next day we're going to England on holidays and there's still a lot to do. We hope to see it on TV though. Thanks for telling abt the race!

Yes, i think i know smth about Stockholm, i just live there too. Prettiest city on Earth.
Well, Riddarfjärden in general is not good place to host Red Bull Air Race for several resons. It's the heart of the city and probably some of organisators are affraid what if comes to unpredictible accident and some plane get crash in some of most famous bulidings and things like that. On the other hand, whole Riddafjärden bay area is too wide, it's not river or smth, it's part of Baltic Sea. So i understand why that race is canceled. Riddfjärden is not right place for that. Some other part of Stockholm ok, that would be ok, or somewhere else in Sweden like Götenbörg eller Malmö.

Hey Sheiban, it is ridiculous that I don't have a room! Although the atmosphere right now in the camp site is amazing. We already have about 300 people here, and about 700 - 800 more are expected to arrive here tomorrow.

I love my VW California. I have a double bed, fridge, two gas hobs and running water. amazing.

As for the photos, that will be touch and go. My camera really does not want to do anything this weekend. Of all the times to malfunction, it happens now.

Right now, as I write this, I am eating plenty of lamb kebabs from the bbq. But I have to get to bed. Check out my diary, mate.

So you're doing a biology degree, good stuff; I have a friend who's doing a PHD in biosciences, interesting stuff; mate if you can combine a bachelor in science with a business master not necessarirly an MBA but for instance MSC management or MSC international business for example you'll go a long long way, getting the funds from a bank manager to set up a small air race team is definitely an achievement you can look forward to as long as you get the business degree as well which helps in both theoritical aspects but also networking i.e. meeting the right people and learning how to convince them your business proposal is sound and will generate money!!!

anyways you see where I'm going with this and I will definitely keep my eyes on you if you so decide to set up Sheiban power air racing :) good times!

Yeah I like Kimi for his "leave me alone let me get on with my life the way I want to live it" attitude. I mean on the downside of things Kimi is nowhere near the public speaker Hamilton is; however Kimi will never do stunts for greedy sponsors the way Lewis does and that's why I respect the iceman for!!!

anyhow I guess I'll have to check the RedBull air race pretty soon; might come down when is the next race held and where? might join you for a fun afternoon I guess...
