Sebastien's Bio
I have more articles, but recently did a little cleaning and kept the most interesting.
I'm 28 years old. I live in Montreal so obviously I'm a Canadiens fan.
Well, actually, I'm a hockey fan first, then a Canadiens fan!
I strongly support all Canadian teams. I believe the hockey would do much better and maybe rival with other major sports for TV air time if there were more team north of the border.
Aside from hockey, I've been a film, media and art student.
So I don't pretend to be a journalist...but I know how and what to write and know hockey very well.
Your comments are always welcome!
I've loved hockey for as far as I can remember. My mom introduced me to hockey when I was about 5-6 years old and I've been a fan since. My furthest memory is the Canadiens winning the Stanley Cup in 86.
I've been following stats, games, players and pretty much anything related to hockey very seriously for the last 10 years. I visit at least 9 or 10 hockey related websites everyday and keep up on all the news and rumours.
I'm a huge believer that a successful franchise comes from great drafting so I try to know as much as possible about upcoming prospects and watch the kids play when I can. So I never miss the World Juniors!
I have very strong opinions when it comes to hockey. Because honestly, I think I know my stuff pretty well!
I don't mind controversy...I always speak my and and I'm very blunt. Most people will either really hate or really like what I write. My opinions are always open for debate.
Rarely you'll catch me unaware or without knowledge on any hockey related subject.
I always do a lot of research before writing anything. I want to make sure I know what I'm talking about and be able to prove my point.
Favorite hockey quotes:
Stephen Leacock: "Hockey captures the essence of Canadian experience in the New World. In a land so inescapably and inhospitably cold, hockey is the chance of life, and an affirmation that despite the deathly chill of winter we are alive."
Jeremy Roenick on the artistry that is hockey.: “This is our canvas. Our easel. This is how we paint, on fresh sheets of ice.”

Montreal's 5 goals historical comeback against New York to win 6-5 in shootout during the 07-08 season was just incredible to watch. It's not easy to beat a record like that when the team's got 100 years of history, 24 Stanley Cups and as many legendary players. It was priceless to witness.

Hey man,
Just taking a look through your work now and I wanted to say I like some of your stuff...nice to see the growing number of hockey first, team second writers. Gotta love the game.
Thanks, and take care,

Thanks for reading, commenting on my article, and becoming my fan, Sebastien. The best news for you recently is the fact that QuebecCor has publicly stated that it is willing to front an effort to bring a team back to Quebec City and is currently looking for partners so that a proper NHL arena could be built. If the choice were between Quebec and Hamilton, the NHL would overwhelmingly go back to Quebec if they had a proper arena, because they had success there before, there are no territorial issues, and they hate Jim Balsillie. A Quebec-Montreal rivalry would be great again, though you might not like it given the fact that Quebec stung Montreal many times in the past during the regular season and the playoffs. Given that they have proper NHL-size arenas of over 18,000 and good ownership, Hamilton and Quebec would be sure-fire winners if they were admitted to the NHL. I like your quote from Steven Leacock. I had to read his book "Sunshine Sketches Of A Little Town" when I was in university. Have you read any of his works?

It's a little late but I thought I'd add my two cents regarding Joe Sakic's retirement. Please feel free to take a gander when you get a spare moment. Thanks.

Hi,
It is because now rankings are based on ur frequency of articles, so if u dont write after a certain amount of days, you just disappear out of the rankings.
i still dont know after how long it does that though,
Miah ;)

Yo,dude! Vancouver might have a goalie for sale, probably affordable, given his recent performances in the play-offs.
Price is from Vancouver.Think there is an article there?

Hi there Sebastien, I came across one of your articles and ended up reading a good number of them. I enjoyed them and found them very well written and researched... I was wondering if I could post a few of them on my website called, www.TOsports.ca, it's a Toronto sports website.
I'd like to post the 3 part series on Late round draft picks.
thank you,
The Captain

Greetings fellow Habs community member,
The playoffs are starting in just two days, and while we are all gearing up with our lucky jerseys and our favourite beers (for those who are legally old enough), our beloved Canadiens are getting ready to make the most of the new chance that has been given to them with this playoff ticket.
Exciting times, exciting times.
Bleacher has always been a place of gathering and debating for us Hockey fans. This time again, we will take the playoffs and our views in our own writings, with a series of articles in partnership with the Boston Bruins community (details in the following link).
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/155874-a-call-to-arms-for-bruins-and-habs-writers
So please come in and be part of it, to add to our already exciting playoffs atmosphere!
Comments, suggestions and ideas are more than welcomed on the Community Leaders’ boards. Tell us what you think, what you want to add and such!
Happy playoffs and GO HABS GO!
