I didn't really get into sports as a child but it was awe inspiring when I finally realized what I was missing out on. I started watching Basketball in 06 when the Miami Heat was playing the Detroit Pistons but it wasn't until the FInals that I realized how amazing Basketball can be. To watch your team go down 0-2 is demoralizing but to watch them stay strong and fight back to win is why we all watch sports. When I saw Wade take his game to the next level and put that team on his back I finally felt like I had something to be proud off and understood the greatness of Sports. Since then Ive been an avid follower of both Basketball and Football and as a fan have stood by both during the Highs and the Lows. (I dare you to call be a bandwagon fan, I still have the ticket of the MIami vs Indiana game that Miami won during their 18 win season) Regardless I love sports for the emotions that we feel, from the nailbiting of being tied in the last minutes to the sheer joy and despair of blowouts. I feel Sports give people a certain connection unlike anything else this world has to offer, it's due to sports that people have reason to dislike one another for no reason other then the team they follow, and it's due to sports that people can have automatic reasons to conversate. Besides theres no better way to get to know someone then to say Hey you know your team sucks right?
