    Hey Bill
Indeed the Catholic church has gone through change. I attended catholic schools since i was 5 yrs old and the changes are somewhat discouraging but they really havent changed the cathecism in a long time and it still remains the same. they recently said that the bible is not a science book, thus giving your teacher some much needed credit for the need of the scientific way of proof which lead to "truth'. I minored in Journalism at SU, which used to be somewhat cathollic and is now far from it. It does offer one of the best journalism programs (New house School) in the country (costas is an alum) and also has the # 1 IT program in the nation too...which I majored in, the Maxwell School of CIS and IT mngt. You have a really good take and a positive outlook that is refreshing to see. There are some snipers and I engage them every time, at my own discredit. We're encouraged to participate in discussion though, and i give my full and honest opinion and try to use manners. Some of these guys check those at the door though - as a former soldier I also know how to "fight" / defend and debate issues.

    Great stuff!
    keep up the great work

You have about the same education that I had when I was your age Bill, Catholic. Take advantage of it because it is the best you can get out there...they have standards that aren't around in most schools today. Sister Helen's favorite saying, "Read, I am going to pound you to gel!" or "knocj you into the middle of next week" very funny stuff. and she did it too, she used to kick our butts with crazy throws to the head and we goofed off - I still see here when I go home and thank her every time. I stop and chat at the convent or see her at church....see loves me now - and did then too, but I was too dumb to realize it.

Good luck man - Nice array of articles too
Youd do well with a degree involving english or journalism man -
clearly you have talent and the passion
    Its good to see
Remember to question everything, from the start to finish of every sentence-
trust but verify as they say
