Nice sharing Lisa http://goo.gl/z1Wwr2
Sent you a PM. Hope all is well my friend!
Why is the Pac 12 Media day not a headline? It was for the SEC, ACC, Big 10 and Big 12?
Nice article Lisa
Lisa, thanks for responding with your view. I re-read your article and then re-read my post. My view has changed very little. Still a shallow article. Your article has a gossipy feel to it. My post focused on McDermott. His comments were incredibly immature. A good sports writer would have done a better job at pointing this out instead of your "Ah, to be dissed by a teenager". That's the "weak reporting" part of my comment. I feel sorry for what college coaches have to go through each year in recruiting the best talent they can. They have to spend many days away from home and family. It's possible for a kid to change his mind if the head coach visits personally and let's him know how much he is wanted. As I said in my post, all coaches do this. Then you followed McDermott up with another immature kid who didn't get the treatment he felt he deserved followed by speculation as to why that may have happened. Again, the gossipy feel. Overall the intent of your article was to knock Meyer down a bit and that is very obvious. You can't really say you defended Meyer when you slam first and then mildly defend second. If you want to improve your reporting style and become creditable amongst all readers, try a more balanced approach.
Lisa Horne - you have long way to go to become a creditable sports reporter. Very shallow article. Weak reporting. Told from a 17 year old kid's perspective. Maybe it was the way McDermott said "No" to Meyer's face that caused Meyer's facial expression. Maybe Meyer's reaction is a bit surprised at the immaturity McDermott showed in how he talked. It should have been a compliment for McDermott and his coach that Meyer would take the time to visit him. For a head coach from any top tier college program to visit a high school player to personally let him know that they have a need for him should be viewed as a positive. All coaches do this.
Looks like not much IQ needed to be a writer, you are pathetic!!!
You really need to stop hating on the Big Ten sister.
