I have lived, played, and breathed football in the State of Florida all of my life. I firmly believe the best brand of football is played in this state at the high school and college level.

I love the Bulls and Hurricanes and really loathe the fact that they are playing each other over the next 4 years, they say you can't have two loves in life well that just isn't true. College Football, NFL Football, College Basketball, and the NBA are the primary sports I follow.

Hopefully I can contribute here at B/R as I love sports and communities built around them, I won't always say my opinions are correct but putting them out there and discussing them are what makes sports great.     Marcus: Loved the Top 50 Hurricanes Football piece. Great research! For the most part man, hard to argue with the rankings. BT, Michael Irvin at #22?! Come on now! He totally epitomized Miami Hurricanes football in his era. I was a student then and nobody spoke more loudy AND backed it up. I would say Top 5 and wouldn't argue with Top 10, but outside the Top 20?!

    The media consistently references arrests(in the past) with the Hurricane football program. Does anyone have any numbers by coaches tenure? I've lived here all my life, and I don't remember an exorbitant number of arrest of football players. the label of "Thug U" came from the high number of penaties, and the unsportsman like behavior-not for criminal behavior.
