About

Hey guys—I'm Zander, a Co-Founder of Bleacher Report.

I started the website with three of my best friends from high school—Dave Finocchio, Bryan Goldberg, and Dave Nemetz—back in 2005. Our vision from the very beginning was to offer aspiring writers and die-hard fanatics a voice in sports media, thus providing readers with an infinite range of coverage and perspectives on the topics that matter most to sports fans.

This founding mission continues to drive the company today, and has revolutionized the world of sports journalism as we know it.

I had the privilege of serving this community as Bleacher Report's Managing Editor in the site's early days, and as the network's Community GM from April 2007 to November 2009.

After watching this unique community grow beyond my wildest dreams for four years, I decided to hang up my Bleacher Report cleats and move on to new adventures.

During my four years at Bleacher Report, I was fortunate enough to work with a number of truly exceptional editors, web engineers, product specialists, and business executives. The most valuable experience of all however was the opportunity to lead an innovative online community comprised of the world's most eloquent, passionate, and talented sports minds and writers.

As an Adviser to the company, I am available to the hard-working employees of Bleacher Report whenever they need me. And as a lifelong sports fan and Bleacher Creature, I still plan to contribute to this community as much as I can.

For those of you who would like to keep in touch, I'd encourage you to add me as a friend on Facebook. You can always shoot me a private message on Bleacher Report as well if you do not have a Facebook account.

Despite stepping down from my post, I remain dedicated to the founding vision of this community and could not be more proud of what we have accomplished together. I strongly believe the best is yet to come, and am looking forward to the future success that lies ahead for all of us.

Thanks again to everyone who has made this community what it is today. Knock em' dead gang!
