Austin's Bio

Born and raised in the Queen City of Charlotte, NC. I've grown up a huge sports fan and want to eventually become a sports writer. I've played soccer, basketball, baseball, football, and tennis. I was born a Tarheels fan and continue to bleed Carolina blue. Since the Panthers came to the NFL I've been a huge fan and follow them religiously as well. As far as baseball goes, I was raised an LA Dodgers fan by my dad and continue to cheer and follow them (even though I never get to see them play living on the East Coast). I joined this site to hopefully find a place to write about and discuss sports with people who have a similar interest level as I do.

I was named a co-community leader for the Carolina Panthers in November 08.

Always looking to meet new sports fans

i'm going to have to go with the X-Clown in the 2003 NFC Divisional Playoffs. Panthers vs. Rams. First play of the second overtime, Jake hits Smitty on a crossing route and he takes off down the middle of the field and coasts into the endzone with his arms raised, silencing the Edward Jones Dome and eliminating the Greatest Show on Turf. A close second is definitely this. I was five at the time, and I remember watching this game at home with my dad and going nuts...this game sparked my absolute love for basketball
