Jen's Bio

I am 22 years old and I am also a college student majoring in journalism and history. I am originally from Brooklyn, NY and now reside in Detroit, MI. I am a mixed martial arts fighter, wrestler, and soccer player. I love sports and have no idea where my life is headed. Guess that is the beauty of finishing college and moving up as a fighter, you just never know where you are going to be tomorrow.

  1. Hey!! I was going to train at Ronin Athletics which is located in midtown manhattan, but I'm be moving out of NYC in the upcoming month back to Pennsylvania where I'm originally from. But Ronin Athletics looked like the prime mma training spot in Manhattan. I hope you check it out and have a great career with mma.

  2. Hey, I really enjoy your articles! Your experience as a wrestler and a fighter bring a unique perspective to your articles we don't usually get to see with most, so thanks!

  3. how did you do at the Arnolds? A guy from my gym just got second in the purple belt division, wish I could have been there to get my butt kicked

  4. saw a fight of yours on youtube, you've got some nasty hands! Great job!

  5. Hey Jen,

I just wanted to let you know that Bleacher Report has launched out of beta with an updated look and feel and some great new features. Check out the "Game On" link in the header to find out more.

Next week we'll be launching the site to the world with some public announcements—and it'd be great to get a contribution from you between now and Tuesday to make Bleacher Report's launch a success.

Let me know if you need any help with ideas or have questions. Have a great weekend Jen!

    Zander

  6. I'm impressed by your knowledge of MMA. I only know a few female MMA fighters, but haven't really known any that had such an in depth perspective on the sport. Great to get your views!

  7. Thanks for adding me to your favorites. I liked that Alexander article about the kids and kidney - it was refreshing to read. Keep up the good work.

  8. I have a lot of anynomous people slam me aswell they have even threatened my life but I just want you to know that you can make your own edits even afte the editors have done so i do it when I disagree with them. Just double check even after they edit you.you will be fine and just ignore the anynomous people I know its hard

  9. i agree,i just started to read this,so far what ive read isnt so bad,few mistakes but who doesnt make them, lol.Keep up the info...

  10. I hadn't logged in for a couple of weeks, I come back and you're getting slammed for pretty much every article and opinion you express. Not cool. Just wanted to say hang in there and ignore the naysayers...you are a great writer and you clearly know what you're talking about (about the Anderson/Thiago Silva mix-up...who cares? There are lots of Silvas in MMA and we all make mistakes). It makes me laugh that most of the people slamming you only post comments and have ZERO articles written...

  11. I agree with you about toughman Jen truly insulting to MMA fighters everywhere.

How long have you been fighting for out of curiosity?

    Zander

  12. Where do you fight? Do you hold any titles? Can I fix you up with one of my sons?

  13. You do very good work keep it up.

  14. Hey Jen, you took some heat for that last article, good for you. Keep it up.

  15. Thanks for the comment on my article... I wrote a response for ya if interested.

Do you wrestle with the University you attend? I've competed in wrestling all my life and train with the University of Western Ontario from time to time. They have a solid girls team that's won national titles individually and as a team.
