Shay 's Bio

Shay Roddy is a Phillies columnist. Born and raised outside of Philadelphia, Roddy learned fast what it means to be a Philadelphia sports fan. He believes hard work and dedication are the only ways to survive in this town.

Over the years Roddy has been called on to contribute to FOX Sports TV’s Postgame Show during the 2008 playoffs. He has also made frequent appearances on 610 WIP-AM, a local Sports-radio station.

Since mid-summer of 2007, Roddy has been a columnist at Bleacher Report. In December of 2008, he opened the site Phillie Phanatics. The site was received well, drawing praise from around the country.

In Summer of 2009, Roddy became a Featured Columnist.

  6. Brad Lidge, Brian Fuentes, Jonathan Broxton, and Mariano Rivera got it done.

Huston Street, Jonathan Papelbon, Ryan Franklin, and Joe Nathan did not.

  12. Former MLB player Eric Karros called my article into question on Colin Cowherd's ESPN Radio show yesterday.

He challenged me for a re-do: but here's my response.
