An avid 23 year old die-hard hockey fan. Born and raised in Metro-Detroit watching players like Steve Yzerman and Nicklas Lidstrom.. I played hockey for many years on the pond in front of my parent's two bedroom condominium in South Lyon, Michigan. Living in Hockeytown all of my life has created an outlook on the sport of hockey that is truly extraordinary.
In light of the 2012-2013 NHL lockout fiasco, I became a Grand Rapids Griffins season ticket holder in hopes to feed my appetite of Detroit Red Wings hockey. There's something about watching these kids play.. No big salaries, no ridiculous contracts, no B/S. Just guys playing hockey in hopes to one day compete with some of the world's greatest athletes. That, my friends, is what this sport is all about. From the pond to the big arenas, play for what you love.
