  I came to this page to talk some smack about your Seahawks prediction, but I see that's already been done a few dozen times. So I'm going to take a different route.
  
  I'm a lifelong Seahawks fan, so I know they're an easy target. Announcers, other coaches, and sportswriters like yourself have taken numerous potshots at them over the years. My (least) favorite instance occurred during the Seahawks/Panthers game leading up to Superbowl XL... the announcers went on and on about how the Seahawks only won that game because 'Steve Smith was off' that day. No one outside Seattle would deign to give the team the credit they deserved, so it's no wonder they lacked confidence going into the Superbowl. Say what you will about offensive pass interference... their season ended the moment they won the NFC Championship and everyone acted like they didn't deserve it.
  
  This season, Russell Wilson, the entire D-squad and (especially) Pete Carroll have given Seahawks fans a reason to celebrate. We fans want to make sure everyone knows how good our team has played this year -- and since you went out of your way to embarrass the Seahawks in your draft column, you're probably going to hear a lot more bellyaching from us before the season is finished. My point is that you brought this on yourself by deriding a team that often gets mocked; you just made the mistake of doing it prior to a superior season (by Seahawks standards).
  
  I hope you've learned your lesson about picking on teams that seem like easy targets. Did you really think Russell Wilson would fail miserably? Maybe... in which case you ought to do more research. But I suspect you just wanted to mock the Seahawks, like everybody else has been doing for the last 37 years. Most other seasons, your column would have been safe. But this is the NFL (and sports in general), and you should know that anything can happen in any given season. You're right, hindsight is 20-20... so next year, take a minute before assigning your little 'F' grades and consider that, if you're wrong, you'll look like a clown two seasons in a row.
  
  Sorry your Eagles couldn't play as well as the Seahawks this year. That sounds snarky, but I genuinely mean it... no one wants to see their favorite team have a losing season. Trust me, I feel your pain.
