I graduated last May from Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska. I was the sports editor for the campus newspaper and was a backup right guard for the WSC football team.
I was born in Omaha, but grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. I've been a Nebraska fan my whole life so growing up in Iowa was interesting to say the least. I started following football when I was about 7, which happened to be 1994 so losing wasn't something I very often had to deal with as a young Nebraska fan. I remember thinking in the midst of Nebraska's 1998 season where they only went 9-4, "This must be what rooting for a bad team feels like."
I love to write and I love sports, so sports journalism was just something I was always going to do.
