I wore my first football jersey at 11 -- Phil Simms, Giants (11). Was it because I knew he was a great quarterback or because I was a little girl who wanted her age displayed on her back? Maybe a little bit of both! When I interned for the Jets in college there was a major debate in the family -- "Oh no, what is she doing? And who the hell are the Jets?" We were from Staten Island, it was rumored the Jets played in the Arena League...More than a dozen years later, my family now flips between both jerseys on Sunday, although this season, they wish they had left the Jets jerseys in the attic.

I'm excited for the Isles to move to Brooklyn -- escaping the moldy barn may finally help them snap out of their decades-long drought! Also wouldn't hurt if Wang opened his wallet to bring some real talent to the ice.

And Jeter, please don't retire...ever. But if you do can you please reopen the Cheetah Club on W. 20th st. and hold court every Monday night?
