My name is Alana. I'm a huge soccer fan. I love Manchester United and German football. Most days if I'm not watching soccer, I'm reading about it.
Every summer, I fly around the country to catch a soccer match featuring a European club. I tend to become overly confident around famous soccer players and blurt out marriage proposals when we meet.
People laugh when I say I like the New York Jets and have a poster of Mark Sanchez on my bedroom wall.
I know a little about a lot of sports. In addition to soccer, I follow basketball, football, baseball, cricket, swimming and just about every other sport out there.
Outside of sports, I love to cook, practice German, travel via Google Maps and pass time with Wikipedia.
I was born in Trinidad, a small island in the Caribbean, but I've lived in Utah for about ten years. I graduated from the University of Utah in 2012 in Communication, and I'm a proud Ute.
Lastly, I use Twitter a lot so I'd be super happy if you follow me on there @AlanaNassiah. I post really nice pictures of food and my dog Jetsie who is named after the Jets.
B/R inspired me to get into talking and writing about Manchester United, so much so I've created my own blog. One day aspire to write for B/R and was wandering how you got into it?
Do you get paid to write articles?
Welcome home! Feels like you always belonged here. Great articles, keep them coming.
So, when did you join B/R as a writer?
Don't take this the wrong way but I am quite surprised by how you follow Man Utd and football in general in such depth. I like it. It's nice to see and I really enjoy reading your articles. Thank you.
alana im new here n its refreshing 2 have a womans perspective on football matches
Thanks for becoming a fan, Alana! How are you enjoying writing for B/R so far? I really enjoyed your recent piece on lessons learned from the WC Qualifier. I'm sort of new to world futbol, but am intrigued and love how the sport attracts such passionate fans worldwide. How did you get involved writing about it? Thanks again and if you have any questions about B/R or any ideas for how the site can be improved please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thanks Alana for bing my fan
