Pre-Game Analysis: Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Chicago Blackhawks
12/01/2009
While I love all the other sports - football, baseball (former collegiate player) and basketball (also a former collegiate player, albeit only to the JV level) - I am OBSESSED with hockey!
While I pride myself on objective reporting, it doesn't mean it comes without a struggle, seeing as how much I love the CBJ.
What motivates my writing is to tell a story - one the mainstream media refuses to do, with their O-6 and all things Canadian team biases - about one of the truly great stories in the NHL, the rising to power of the CBJ.
Well, once again, I blew it, with my prediction, last night. Trust me, no one's happier than I that I blew it than the Columbus Blue Jackets (CBJ), as they defeated St. Louis, 5-2, last night...
Well, my luck ran out, as it relates to pre-game analysis. I predicted that St. Louis would win, 4-3, in either Overtime (OT) or a Shootout (SO)...
Britney: For some reason, it cut off the text after the OK portion, so, I re-did the article, and it provided the complete article.
If you would, check the 2nd article I wrote - same subject - and you'll see what I'm talking about.
Thanks for the feedback, though. Trust me, it also baffled me (as to why it didn't publish the whole article).

Folks, I apologize - after writing that lengthy article - it felt like writing "War and Peace" (lol) - I ommitted a few players - Antoine...
Willie: Thanks again for the feedback. All valid points! Yeah, after a while, it felt like writing "War and Peace", it was so long (lol). Again, thanks!

As mentioned, I’d like to offer my analysis of the performances of the Blue Jacket players, for the first quarter of the season. While not scientific, it’s a pretty fair approximation on how their players have performed, thus far...
Thanks for the props! Nice, in-depth analysis here, with a part two to come?! I'll definitely look forward to reading it! Looks like we definitely agree...
Scott: Thanks for the feedback - all valid points. And, thanks for the kind words on the article.

Too funny how timing works – I was crafting an article on the quarterly status report on the Columbus Blue Jackets – CBJ, and my esteemed cohort, Aaron Tom, beat me to the punch – ...
