Taylor Cairns is a Maryland native. Taylor grew up just outside of Baltimore City, but due to his Father being the sports anchor of Washington's ABC affiliate, he became an all Washington sports fan. (Except his baseball team is the Orioles, but that is because there was no Washington Baseball team during his childhood) Taylor currently is a Sophomore at the University of Maryland, where he hopes to graduate with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Creative Writing. Taylor is an anchor and producer for a weekly radio news program on campus which can be followed by checking out www.WMUCNews@blogspot.com .
Taylor also spends his time volunteering for the local television station Capital News Service, where he is a show director and floor director. Taylor is an fan of all sports, but believes most of his passion revolves around professional and college basketball. Taylor hopes to be a news reporter or anchor for a large market station someday, and hopes that his passion for news can carrying over to any medium of journalism.
