USC: What a Difference a Day Makes
11/29/2009
Dr. E. Joseph Arias graduated from the University of Southern California in 1986. He was a gymnast/yell-leader for the USC National Championship Trojan Football Team in 1979-1980. Joseph's Bachelor of Arts degree from USC is in Humanities with a Cinema/Dramatic Arts emphasis. After singing in Broadway musicals, Joseph received his Teaching Credential at UCLA in 1998. In 2004 and 2009, respectively, he received a Master of Science degree and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Pepperdine University, Malibu, CA. Two of Joseph's greatest memories of his USC gymnast-yell-leading experience was cheering at the Rose Bowl and being on the field next to the end-zone as TB Charlie White made the game-winning (controversial) TD against Michigan. Also, it was fun to play University of Hawaii in Aloha Stadium (enjoying a spectacular week on Oahu). USC Trojan Football still remains a passion of mine. As always, I believe the most prepared team will win. What happens on the field is exciting and of course it is great fun to win, but respect, giving your greatest fight, and love for the "game" remain the most important elements for me. Fight on Trojans. Fight on!
Will the real USC football team please stand up. After two long weeks of conjecture and speculation (myself included) regarding the Trojans and their ability and desire to win, they rose to the occasion and convincingly beat UCLA 28-7...
The key for USC football is to end the season in a great matchup, pumped up, and taking advantage of the healthiness of its players. UCLA has a consistent defense with an offense that can be effective, so this will call for the Trojans to get back to work
