Paddy has yet to fill out a bio.
"With Rogers probably ending up a cap casualty, can the 49ers really get away with that much turnover in the secondary if Brown and Whitner leave?"
What's up, Paddy? I already answered your question in the comment section, but I doubt you'll get a notification through email (I barely do). Let me REALLY answer your question.
Yes and yes. Remember, they said the same thing about Dashon Goldson last year and look how that turned out (Eric Reid). Rogers SUCKS. As for Brown? He's a quality corner. I doubt he'll ever be a pro bowler or All-Pro. He's a #2 corner, not #1. The 49ers have Chris Culliver and Tramaine Brock, who I think are better than Brown. I have high expectations of Culliver. Plus, the 49ers are gonna draft a cornerback (or two) this year.
As for Whitner? I'm cool with him coming back. But if he doesn't, I don't think it would be a HUGE loss. He improved in coverage this season, but he's still not an elite player in coverage. Plus, he's getting a little old. Again, I'm cool with him coming back. I hope Brown doesn't come back, though.
Right now I'm MORE CONCERNED with NaVorro Bowman. I've been hearing good news about him so far, but it's still early.
As one of the "respected" "Hawk fan commentators, Thought you'd enjoy this and help get the word out.
Check out these great tunes just for Seahawk fans.
