There's a slight problem with your bowl projections. If Kent State wins the MAC Championship game and gets up 16th in the BCS, yes, they'd have to get a spot in the BCS bowls... BUT (and it's a big BUT)... they don't knock out the Big East Champ. The AQ conferences still get their champs in. Kent State would claim one of the "at large" slots. As things stand, the 10 BCS slots would go to: 1) Notre Dame (NC Game), 2) the SEC Champ (NC Game), 3) Kansas State (or slight chance of OU, Fiesta Bowl), 4) Nebraska (or Wisconsin, Rose Bowl), 5) Stanford (or UCLA, Rose Bowl), 6) Florida State (or Georgia Tech, Orange Bowl)... and then the 7) Sugar Bowl gets next pick (and Florida is guaranteed a spot if they're #4 or higher so they seem almost certainly in). Beyond that, the picking order is Fiesta Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Orange Bowl... 8) and the Big East Champ (Rutgers, Louisville, or Cincinnati), and 9) Kent state (if they do indeed make it to 16 or higher) would be guaranteed spots. Kent State would almost certainly be last choice (so the Orange Bowl). Given the choice between Rutgers and either Oregon or Stanford (if they lost the Pac 12 Championship game), I'm pretty sure the Fiesta will go with the Pac 12 team (and not a Big 12 rematch with Oklahoma, another undesirable option). OU would get screwed over and the pairings would (most likely) look something like:
Notre Dame vs Alabama Nebraska vs Stanford Kansas State vs Oregon Florida vs Rutgers Florida State vs Kent State
