Ryan's Bio

Ryan Alberti played four years of college football in central New Jersey before graduating with a bad back and a degree in American history. He now lives in Laughlin, Nevada, where he stays busy as an aspiring river rat and is, he believes, very close to discovering the perfect bowl of rice and beans.

Ryan Writes About

The Short List facts and information about Ryan Alberti

Ruth or Mays?

The Babe. But only because I'm such a diehard Kelly McGillis fan. (Put THAT in your Google search field and smoke it.)

Unitas or Montana?

Unitas. Those Montana winters are brutal.

Jordan or Russell?

Jordan. Russell couldn't hit .202 to save his life.

Pele or Maradona?

Maradona, because I'm a sucker for Desperately Seeking Susan. Unless we're talking about Pele the Hawaiian goddess of fire, in which case I have to go with the deity.

  1. HEY rYAN -

    cHECK OUT MY NEW ARTICLE.

    tAKE CARE

  2. Thank you Ryan,

I am sorry if I sounded out of line in my previous notes.

    Will certainly do so (tags)

    Bests,
    Sarah

  3. Same to you Ryan!

  4. Come on Ryan, why the sorry, you guys run a great site, you can't do it all, this was supposed to be a shared arena right, can I help? If you are not following any sorting algorithms like Google and doing it manually, that would be a pain staking effort.

I am grateful to be a part of this site, so please no more sorries. I think we should all pool in to make the site better, after all that is what is great about open source right. I used to be heavily involved in Sourceforge.net when I was working. Off late, got removed from the project and have to register for some more, also forgot my password and stuff as it was tied in to my corporate account. There is also freshmeat web site. And B/R being open source makes me believe that if there is any way we can help, we ought to! Can't leave all the hard work to you guys alone and enjoy the fruits.

    Sorry for a longish note.

    Bests,
    Sarah

PS: that sorry is contagious my friend

  5. Thanks a ton! Was not aware there is a Horse Racing section; but clicking on the link above your article took me to a page where NHL stuff was displayed :(

    Bests,
    Sarah

  6. Great Ryan, knew you'd set things right on the F1 page :-)

    Bests,
    Sarah

  7. Not even a question on that one buddy. It's not often (on bleacher report or anywhere) that you hear someone tell it like it is. Much props.

  8. Thanks the edit Ryan. Where do you play in Central Jersey and what brought you all the way to Nevada?

  9. Hi Ryan,

Thanks for your help last time... and here I am again.

Now I can neither upload new photos nor can I edit/reposition archived ones. This is of particular concern for me as my trivia series features photo questions... so I need specific pics. Please, can you help?

    Thanks for your time,

    M

  10. Hi Ryan,
one day, one fan...thanks a lot!

  11. Hey Ryan,

You should check out my blog http://www.cardinaltwist.com when you get a chance!

  12. Please check out the new Cardinals Roundtable!

  13. Ryan,
No worries. Thanks for taking a look.
I didn't know the other Ryan was an all purpose editor, otherwise I would have gone to him first.

By the way, nice job on the Tim Donaghy article.

Also, someone at my work noticed one of my Celtics columns on Fox Sports...very cool.

    Thanks,
    Sean

  14. Ryan,
Can you take a quick editors look at my latest Celtics article? It appears to be stuck in editing purgatory. Probably needs some editing, especially considering the fact that I'm still shaking the victory celebration hang-over.

    Much appreciated, as usual.

    Thanks,
    Sean

  15. R.A.

I was wondering if you could do me a favor and delete the most recent article (Transcendence of Sport) however delete only the copy that doesn't have a photo. I'm running to catch a train to head to a wedding and hit a snag in the posting process and double posted by accident. Thanks alot man,

    BT
