Why You Should Root For The Patriots

I grew up in Connecticut, but my family is originally from Massachussetts. I've actually moved up around the Boston area and have lived here for the past several years. It's been great in regards to being close to all my favorite teams. While I love all my Boston teams... Red Sox, Pats, Celtics and the Bruins to a much lesser extent, I am a Pats and football fan first and foremost. I started watching back in 1995 with my Dad... he used to always tell me stories about when he was younger and how he used to play basketball at the old YMCA in Foxboro with Steve Grogan and a bunch of the old Pats players... even including Matt Hasselbeck's dad. I just loved those stories and as the years went on I became more and more of a Pats fan... and then came Tom Brady. Everyone has their all-time sports hero... Tom Brady is mine... the way he just came in and transformed this organization coming off the bench is amazing and like nothing the NFL has ever seen before. I can certainly see myself shedding a tear the day he retires, but will continue to enjoy watching him for however longer he chooses to play.
Sports affiliation aside... I am 26 years old and am working my way back to school. My plan is to attend UMass Lowell this Spring and pursue my masters degree in education. I want to be highschool teacher.
