Spencer's Bio

Spencer is a former journalist/blogger turned PR guy who is hopelessly addicted to the tragic comedy that is the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club.
When not pining for the first ever power forward or elite goaltender in the Senators modern history, Spencer also enjoys football, where he has a potentially dangerous crush on Tom Brady.
Spencer thinks basketball is the worst sport on the planet, but has as soft spot for soccer. I know...what's up with that?

Check that out, because you should probably know I'm not a Burke support—in fact I live in fear of him.

That article was more to say that in handing Ron Wilson the job almost certifies Brian Burke coming to Toronto....I'm just as sick of it as you are though not to worry..

  4. Bryan, no I don't and that is consistent with my point about Pittsburgh delusions of grandeur.

IMHO a dynasty requires a significant amount of championships in a short period of time with few if any interruptions.

Detroit had three over a six year period from 1997-2002, which is still not enough in my mind.

Usually the championships should be in a row, and generally 3 or more in order to get such a lofty title.

The New England Patriots and the Edmonton Oilers both had one year slip-ups in their championship strings but I would call them both dynasties.

The title dynasty should be very hard to achieve, and now with the cap is even harder, which is why to even begin to contemplate thinking about pondering the idea that Pittsburgh could be one is frankly asinine.

  5. Just so you know—the Santa comment was excellent! haha

  6. Spencer I have a question for you, and it has to do with your recent 'dynasty article'.

Do you consider the Wings a Dynasty? To be honest, I personally do (considering what we've seen the past few years from the NHL) because they've been consistently dominating the competition, while they were also able to win 3 cups within six years. Just a thought.

    Keep it up!
