About

Founded & hosted "Sport Talk" on WGOW-FM 102.3, Chattanooga, TN from 1990-2000, when I sold the show's rights to the station ownership to pursue other business interests. Was first person ever to lease time on a radio station in the USA and first sports talk show ever broadcast on FM radio and the internet. Wrote a weekly sports column for the "Chattanooga Times" morning daily newspaper from 1992-1998. "Sport Talk" was named Best Sports Talk Show in Tennessee 4 times by the Associated Press during the 1990's. The show was also the subject of a Sports Illustrated article in 1990 because of it's unique format, innovation and popularity. The show was a continuous # 1 in afternoon drive ratings in the greater Chattanooga market (500,000+ people), and when I sold the show, it had an estimated internet audience of 300,000+.

My main areas of knowledge and experience include major college football & basketball, the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and in particular the football and basketball programs of Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Auburn & Kentucky. I am in my 6th decade of observing college football and basketball on an intense basis.
