Michael,
I know you meant well, and I appreciate it, but as I've stated in the Featured Columnist forum Dave just started, I would rather all the editors simply leave my titles alone.
I have no problem with someone correcting a glaring grammatical error in my piece, or the occasional (very rare) spelling mistake I may make, but I give my titles a lot of thought and don't like people changing them.
I'm fully aware of B/R's style guidelines (but in the end that's all they are, guidelines, not HARD RULES), and I feel I should be the one to decide what the titles of my pieces are, even if it means less traffic from Google or whatever.
So, in the future, I would respectfully ask you not to change any of my titles.
Thanks,
Daniel Barber aka Hotnuke

DeleteThanks for the edits, Michael. I probably shouldn't write that late at night—but that's why we've got editors! Thanks again.
