Gianluigi Buffon: Celebrating Gigi's 100th Cap for Italy
11/16/2009
I’ve been here on B/R for quite some time and it’s time I put up a somewhat proper bio.
First of all, I’m originally from Bangladesh and not Italy (although I to take that as a compliment considering I simply love that country and almost everything to do with it), but I live in Stockholm, Sweden.
I’m currently studying for my Bachelor’s in business administration and I’m doing surprisingly well despite the fact that football usually takes up most of my time. I’m a passionate Juventusfan, but here on B/R I try to write about everything concerning Serie A :)
Apart from football and various obligations I’m also taking Italian classes and during the next football season I’m planning to watch my beloved Juventus live for the first time (I know, shame on me it’s taken so long, but I’ve finally come to my senses).
Other than writing here on B/R I contribute to FrontlineFootball.com, TheFirst90Minutes.com and Fotbollive.se, the latter being a Swedish football site. Apart from that I’ve also had several articles up on Foxsoccer.com
And I’m Marzia by the way :)

Hey,
Henry's handball has got the whole football world talking. What better time for another Great Debate? Should Henry have owned up? Is he a cheat? Should FIFA have allowed a replay? Have your say in the great debate!

Hey,
After what is being called 'the greatest injustice in sport', the question is, what on earth is FIFA doing?

Have a look
Thanks

Marzia, after the Henry handball yesterday, I have decided that replay must be implemented in the beautiful game somehow. Please tell me your reaction.

The last bit in your message made me laugh bc me and my friends were saying the same thing last week: Mourinho looks tired, old, disheveled, rough...some went as far as saying that he looked like a bum, a hobo.
We were watching highlights of that CL game against Kiev and one thing is clear: he does not look happy. Maybe things back home is not right either (this is based on wild guess and gossip).
Anyways, i see that you got your wish as Roma showed some bottle to get a draw at San Siro. I think they deserved to win and if it wasn't for a brilliant strike by Eto'o....
After the game Mour and Ranier were at it again. Mourinho actually attacked everybody: "The match was close to terrible," Mourinho said. "All three teams were close to terrible.
"One team tried to win, but didn't do enough to. Another side did not want to win.
"As for the third team - it was an easy match to officiate, four or five blows of the whistle would have been enough, but he blew up 40 or 50 times."
Claudio Ran was having none of it: "There was one team which played football against another which just kept committing tactical fouls. It seemed to be a scientific approach". Apparently Viera broke De Rossi's cheek bone.
To this Mourinho responded: "He is always crying and is super happy with the draw. We didn't do enough to win and they didn't even want to win."
Oh man, this is why i love Seria A...these two hate each other with a passion.
As for Juve, great win and good to see them scoring freely; but must sort-out that back-four and quick. Camoranesi showed more composure than the whole strike-force...i'd play him upfront for now.
Milan keep grinding it out and winning games comfortably at last. The key was Pato. I thought his header was simply sublime.
Thanks for the note Marzia, much appreciated.

Alcorcongate tragedy is the worst humiliation in the history of any big club IMO!
As of now, am more worried about Barca being too casual and laidback in their defense of the UCL.
5 points out of 4 games is not some stuff of champions.
Last thing I wanted was that Inter win over Kiev !
Now, Mourinho bitch will play out for a draw at Camp Nou and then situation will worsen for Barca! :( Then, they will somehow beat Kazan and go through !
Barca will be third in the group cos of the head to head against Kazan ! :(
I think 2006-07 season is coming all over again. Their game is nowhere close to that of last season ! I will be happy if they win the league !:(

Well, Pato was very unfortunate to see his goal disallowed. I don't know what the ref saw...it was a clear goal.
And yes, Ronny wasn't messing around with that pen...terrific pen.
I think both Milan and Juve were doing alright untill they ran into this dangerous Napoli team. I mean, i liked them when they had Donadoni as coach...at least we could beat them then lol.
Napoli just don't give up, they were 2 down to both Milan and Juve and managed to come back in each game - all in a space of 3 days. You have to hold your hand up and say well done.
You have to also love Ciro for his honesty after the game: "This defeat is like a punch in the face which hurts, it hurts a lot," he said.
"Already in the first half we took a lot of risks. After we went in front we didn't play with the right intensity against a team like Napoli who never give up.
Some of the Prem league managers over here always like to blame someone else (refs, opposing teams, weather, pitch, grass..etc).
As for Inter, they just keep churning out wins without playing that well. That was a good win yesterday...Kiev is a cold place, and you right, i just had a feeling they will produce a rabbit or two out the hat.
As for the league, i really can't see where they will drop points. Maybe if the whole squad goes down with Swine flu ( which I'm not hoping for, im not that sick, but it will be amusing to see none the less)...
I hope Roma do an italian job on Inter though.
Anyways, good luck with Atalanta on Sat, they're quiet decent at home. We've got Lazio who i despise with a passion. Hope Milan destroy them.
By the way, you've been quiet for as week or so...hope everything alright.

Wtf was Ferrera doing out there against Napoli ?
Napoli has a 3-2 lead and he brings in De Ceglie and takes out Giovinco ? Oh yes, I found out why. He wants Napoli to maintain the lead and NOT Juve to push forward and equalise !
Then taking out Camoranesi and bringing in Tiago . Wtf was that ?
Ferrera is awful to say the least !
No title contender will give away a 2 goal lead and lose 3-2! Awful to say the least!
Scudetto has Inter written all over it :(
And btw Napoli=Respect for the tremendous mental strength they showed . Datolo and Hamsik will be out of Napoli by next season . Amazing talents !

DeleteHey,
Following up yesterday's great debate is the one I've been waiting to write for a long time, and the one I think may be the best debate yet and a must-read for any football fan! Should video technology be introduced into football? Would doing so take away from the 'magic' that makes the game so great? And would it help or hinder the referees? Have your say in the Great Debate!
