Originally from Norwich in England, I grew up a Red through my father and his family who are all from Liverpool. I lived and studied in Liverpool for three years before moving to Spain, where I now live.

Liverpool FC is my one and only team and football is my one and only sport!

    Karl,

    Nothing for me to do here but apologize. For whatever it's worth, my intent in the revisions was never to alter the facts laid out in the piece--only to adjust the style and pacing. The mistakes I made (i.e. assuming that a "Liverpool" hat trick was an "EPL" hat trick) came out of sloppiness rather than intent--which certainly doesn't excuse them, but which will hopefully at least restore your general faith in the spirit and premise of the editing process. Again, I really am sorry, and I'm glad you were able to revert to the original before too many commenters noted the errors. If it means anything, I've posted my own comment on the article confirming yours.
