About

My name is John Engel, and I am an avid Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and Calgary Flames fan; odd combination, I know.

For the past two years, I have written and reported for the Chicago Cubs minor league system, more specifically the Boise Hawks. Last fall I covered the Boise State Broncos football team for the Associated Press, and work in association with local daily newspapers throughout the year while attending Boise State University. I currently cover the Chicago Cubs for Scout.com, composing scouting reports and feature articles for the website.

    Hi John,

As a Cubs fan, I would like your opinion of an article I just wrote about the Cubs not knowing how to win at Wrigley FIeld. I think they don't have a clue how to build a team to play in that park and I would love to hear what you think of my thoughts.

Thanks in advance for checking it out and letting me know your opinion.

Thank and I will deffinitly check it out just as soon as i do my Cubs list. Im trying to stay away from all 2010 lists so they wont affect my judgement when making mine but the cubs are going to be one of the next two teams I do.

Looking foward to see how ours compare

    hey John,
I noticed you are a Mariners and Boise State fan, nice selection! I will just pretend I didn't see the Yankee part.

I am 17 as well, and an aspiring sports journalist. What about you? Do you live in the pacific northwest?

    Hope to hear back soon,
    Danny Ciaccio
