P has yet to fill out a bio.
I'd be upset if the game mattered. I was happy we still dominated with zero motivation and ten men, so I'll take that as a present.
Yeah man, I'll join. It would be nice to discuss with intelligent fans.
Hey man, can't disagree with anything you said at all. The only thing thing that came into my head was when you mentioned injuries. I actually think they helped Pep...making him adapt and deal with what was at his disposal. He did an amazing job, but was almost forced into more rotation than I think he would have done with a fully healthy squad. Again, not disagreeing, but that's what popped into my brain. I read the article while watching the Man CIty game, drinking, on a birthday I share with Xabi, so let me read it again tomorrow and I'll add if need be. Cheers!
Oh what do Dortmund do? Why do we kill it in the UCL but falter in the league?
I know... You really don't need to remind me, haha. Let's not forget Hamburg as well... Honestly, this is just pathetic. It's really difficult to see what the actual root of the problem is. It clearly can't be chemistry since the standard of play in the CL is excellent, and it shouldn't be blamed on injuries anymore since the club has enough key players back to be able to field an actual first team again. It's just hopelessly frustrating. I don't care what happens anymore this season provided we make the top four (or win the CL, but top four is of course a safer bet). -_______-
Pretty much..... It's really difficult to know what to expect from the club so far, haha. I do still have hope that we can get back to winning ways this weekend. I mean, it's Hannover for crying out loud (no huge disrespect). If we still manage to cock things up this weekend, I will have serious doubts regarding whether we'll make the top four this season. 'Gladbach definitely seem up for the fight this season.
Well incredible performance by Bayern, and also Dortmund against gala in turkey. Just wondering, do you know if dortmund played 4-4-2 (I didn't catch the game). I know you have said we shouldn't play that, so what would your preferred formation for us be?
Thank you very much! I'll use that if there are any future problems? Speaking of problems what do you make of Dortmund's terrible form in the league?
I just had to make a different account because b/r couldn't be bothered to fix my old one
Hey, mate. Just for the record, I'm completely agreed with you regarding BVB's situation at the moment, although I do think that the injuries are a factor in the poor performances. Still, the more worrying thing is that Klopp and the team haven't been able to adapt tactically in matches where the standard style of gegenpressing hasn't worked (e.g. vs. Leverkusen, Schalke, and Mainz), and that the tactics haven't changed to account for the new personnel in the system while other players are out (e.g. shoving Jojic or Ginter into CM in place of Sahin, Gundogan, or Kirch and expecting it to work out seamlessly). Something's clearly got to change regarding the training methods or fitness crew, sure, but perhaps more important is figuring out how to change the team's tactics so that the team doesn't just fall apart when things aren't going their way. Perhaps it's a bit too strong of a term, but this is definitely the closest the club has been to being in crisis under Klopp. It will be interesting to see how he deals with it. I of course have faith in him (naturally), but he definitely has his work cut out for him right now.
In other news, Keller seems to have bought himself some time with the performances against Bayern, Chelsea, and Dortmund. If only he could actually get the team to play well against smaller clubs, haha. And looks like Wolfsburg have finally gotten going, and Leverkusen appear to have been back down to earth with their results against Monaco and VfL. Still, the competition for the top four spots looks like it'll be pretty interesting this season, at the very least.
