My name is Carlos Pineda and I attend the University of Central Florida. I am a sports writer for the Central Florida Future, the UCF student newspaper. I am currently the beat writer for the UCF women’s soccer team this fall semester (2009).
This past spring and summer (2009) I was the beat writer for softball and men’s & women’s tennis. In additition I have written articles for women’s basketball, men’s basketball and a feature on UCF football’s Torrell Troup.
I write for online sports publication World Soccer Reader, "a Boston based Soccer news site aiming to be the #1 news source for Soccer/Futbol/Football fans." I am the beat writer for Major League Soccer (MLS) teams Toronto FC and the Seattle Sounders FC.
I also work for CFS Sports & Entertainment as Director of Sports Information. I do camera work for many of the sporting events that CFS covers including high school football and basketball in the central Florida region.
In addition, I am a sports writer for the Seminole Chronicle, the newspaper that covers Seminole County, just north of Orlando.
